CLENT INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE

My name is Stan Francis and live in Romsley village, I am in my early 60's, own a Dental Engineering business, married and my passtimes are walking, golf, gardening and just started dancing.

My wife works in the Dental profession also, her practice is in Bromsgrove.

Over the years I have fought the council's for better public services for Romsley village, drains being the one issue that's at the top of the list at present due to no maintenance programme being effective via the Worcestershire County Council. Other issues were getting roads resurfaced, keeping down crime, against the fortnightly bin system, cctv camera's to protect the post mistress due to a blag on the office this year and presently have petitions going into the council against us paying for the green bin next year...191 have said no so far?-Please join us?

My political background is that of a once member and grasss roots supporter of the Conservative Party in Edgbaston, Birmingham. I have stood in for the leader of Birmingham City Council before he was elected on the Police committee's. An aid to political campaign managers in Quinton, aid to Parliamentary candidates in Edgbaston and Northfield.

Unpaid position of Special Constable for the West Midlands Police for 8 years, I was involved in many issues, drugs, traffic, point duties, Crowd control, Beat duties, front office work...was considered for a commendation.

It was whilst working for the Police that made me want to help the community more and the best way was as a councillor, I feel I know a lot about life now, I feel I have done the majority of it and could make decisions that could give Clent Division back some pride we are presently losing with roads and footpaths in a deplorable condition thes just being two issues?-many people that visit Clent say they fear for mainly the pot holes that are now no longfer pot holes but places that can break up your suspension, I know of topw people that have claimed and been paid out by the council, this is your money they pay out with!

My pet interests are our Health and Future as we all get older!

Our tap water consists of many chemicals, one is Fluoride, West Midlands Strategic Health tell me that it was put into our tap water without asking us first in 1985, this was confirmed to me by letter this year!(I will place that letter on this site soon)-many side eg=ffects are coming from this poison that takes many years to manate in our bodies, more on this topic later on this web site.

Elderly Care:

Care homes are becoming fewer by the year, thousands have closed down due to strict regulations appearing that are just from Think Tanks, unelected people taking control of our lives. Further, carers need more money for their deedicated care for us and our relatives/friends, it's blatantly obvious that the wage they get at present will not always attract dedicated people, I lave the rest for you to fathom out yourself, I hav muchg experinece in this field.

Our Future:

Scaring is the first word that comes to mind here!

A Police state for starters is already here, newspapers report it regularly, especially now that a Tory MP was agressively arrested in November 2008 and this state of affairs has come about due to not just Labour, but due to us joining up with the EU, yes we need to trade, burt we need to keep our identity too?

Voting in one political party will continue to get ourselves deeper and deeper into a country that will be our complete demise.

If you vote for me, you will get the utmost service, your ussus will be dealt with and everyone will be voiced to the council, presently the councillor we now have has to be rold what he can complain about, this due to ho=im being a political party councillor.

An independent councillor is not connected to any political party, he/she works only for you only the same as Richard TAYLOR mp of Kidderminster does, he managed to keep the THE KIDDERMINSTER HOSPITAL open for us all whilst the Tory, Labour and Lib Dems ignored our needs?..He continues to strive ahead without leaders of party's or whips telling him what to do-Remebering that a party whip can sack you or suspend you for 6 months if you do not do as you are told, known as towing the party line...An Independent has no worries along those lines, if you ask for something, he passes the message on to the most suitable person in the council and impresses it-AND LOOKS FOR A POSITIVE outcome?
