Here in Romsley we had it very bad indeed, mainly the sewers were blocked in many places, this we now know after Severn Trent have been around, also Worcestershire County Council have been laying new pipes, clearing out gulleys that should be done on a regular maintenance programme, but plainly have not!

Ed Moore the County councillor for Clent Division had been asked many times BEFORE THE FLOODS for work to be carried out on drainage by the chairman of Romsley parish council, his answer was we have no money!

I Stan Francis collected almost 200 signatures via the local post office to get things moving on new drains etc, the petition went through via the Romsley Parish council with their blessing and we can now see things happening at last. But I want a programme set up for the future, this cannot continue, a company that should have been doing some of the cleansing work also every year, was sacked off the job by Bromsgrove District Council two weeks ago after my continued complaining that cleaning of drains was just not apparent!-the new contractors have now confirmed that the drains had not beeen touched!

UPDATES ON CLENT DIVISION

Updates on the issues concerning us all in the Clent Division are here.

The flooding will continue as the Worcs County Council ignore the plight of us all being flooded out at just a light rain fall.

A complaint has gone into the LGO and we shall be getting a reply soon on why the council's are dragging their feet on important issues like flooding.

Continued complaints ill be sent in on issues like road and footpath repair and the lost Green bin service.
